Ch. 7: Adam and ChristAdam and Eve in The GardenHere is a view of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Note that Adam's hand more or less surrounds the anciently professed center of the world as marked by the Omphalos of Delphi53. Imagine a cartographer's cross marking this spot to see why legend told that Adam was created at the center of the earth from clay from the four quarters of the world.54 Although some traditions hold Jerusalem to be the center of the world, this chapter will reveal that earlier legends of Adam were actually based on the Delphic center of the world. |
