Ch. 3: Aphrodite and Athena 

 Athena 

Here is the goddess Athena with her sacred owl perched on her shoulder.²⁴ According to some, Athena was produced when Hephaestus split the head of Zeus with an axe.²⁵ It is now possible to see that this idea may have developed because the head of Zeus, the torso of Athena, and the hand of Hephaestus are all in the same geographical location.
